In 2014, over 70 people applied to the Omscholingsregeling. Most of them submitted an additional application to previous plans. Thirteen dancers applied for the first time. Five of them started a study next to their dance career. Eight of them exchanged their dance career for a new challenge
Two years of co-financing for tuition fees for a second Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
Since the 2012-2013 academic year, students wishing to obtain a second Bachelor’s or Master’s degree have had to pay more. They are no longer eligible for paying the legally set tuition fees, but have to pay the ‘institute tuition fees’. This sum is much higher than the legally set tuition fees and can amount to as much as € 9,000 per year!
The annual meeting of the IOTPD, the International Organization for the Transition of Professional Dancers, took place this year in Amsterdam from 15 to 17 June. The IOTPD is a worldwide network of organisations concerned with retraining dancers
The board of the Omscholingsregeling (ODN) meets around five times a year. The applications are discussed at the meetings. The dates when the application
forms must have been handed in are listed below. That is usually one month before the meeting takes place. Applications that are not received by ODN
by the date given cannot be dealt with until the subsequent meeting.
Wed. February 26 2020 is the deadline for applications to be discussed in the meeting of March 18
Tue. April 7 2020 is the deadline for applications to be discussed in the meeting of April 28
Tue. June 2 2020 is the deadline for applications to be discussed in the meeting of June 23
Tue. September 1 2020 is the deadline for applications to be discussed in the meeting of September 22
Tue. November 3 2020 is the deadline for applications to be discussed in the meeting of November24
