What are the possibilities?

There are so many dancers and so many wishes. The situation of each dancer is unique. Some are happy with a short, practice-oriented course, some want to take on a long-term course of study, now that it is possible, and others want to start up their own business and combine it with a course or several courses. In assessing someone’s plans for the future, the Omscholingsregeling takes as much account as possible of their individual circumstances, ambitions and possibilities. That is the principle of the board of the Omscholingsregeling. Customisation is the formula for success.

The Omscholingsregeling can help a dancer who is making plans for the future in a number of ways.

through careers advice

by refunding the costs of training, studies or a course, in whole or in part

by providing income during the period after a dancer has ended their career and is preparing for a new one

by giving financial assistance and advice to a dancer for setting up their own business

Careers advice

Careers advice is offered to all professional dancers at any time during their career. Regardless of whether their career has just started or is nearing its end, an individual dancer can make an appointment at any time with the Omscholingsregeling careers advisor to discuss questions about his or her career. There are no conditions or costs attached to this service.

In order to apply for financial support from the Omscholingsregeling, a dancer must have paid a minimum number of premiums.

The options offered by the Omscholingsregeling are outlined again below.

"When as a dancer it is time for a change, a lot of feeling of insecurity arises. The Omscholingsregeling gave me financial support and self confidence to face these new challenges." (Jérôme Meyer)
